Serneke to construct 206 apartments in Orminge

8/09/2020

Serneke and Magnolia Bostad have signed an agreement to construct 206 apartments and an assisted living facility in Orminge, south of Stockholm. The contract is valued at approximately SEK 265 million.

The new apartments will be built in the Södra Sarvträsk neighborhood as part of a major urban development project in Orminge, in the municipality of Nacka, in which it is planned that at least 1,500 apartments will be constructed. The plans for central Orminge include premises for retail and other operations, as well as a sports center in Myrsjö.

In the new residential neighborhood, three different brick designs will be repeated towards each point of the compass, and there will be a shared courtyard, creating a pleasant and welcoming environment for residents. In addition to the apartments, the turnkey contract also includes construction of an LSS home, ten commercial premises and a garage with 100 parking spaces.

“We look forward to constructing additional apartments in Orminge together with Magnolia Bostad, developing an entirely new neighborhood. Throughout the planning stages, we have had a good partnership, and we are pleased to have Magnolia’s continued trust,” says Björn Vikman, Construction Manager at Serneke.

“We highly appreciate our collaboration with Serneke, which extends from an early stage through to completion. We are very happy to now start planning another project together,” says Björn Bergman, Regional Manager for Magnolia Bostad’s Eastern Region.

The order value of approximately SEK 265 million will be included in order bookings once the conditions have been met for a building permit to be approved, which is expected to occur in the fourth quarter of 2020. Construction is scheduled to commence in January 2021 and the project is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2023.
