Serneke develops secure housing for Landskronahem

19/05/2020

Following a procurement procedure, Landskronahem has entrusted Serneke with developing and constructing sheltered housing in the Jäntan neighborhood in central Landskrona.

The project entails developing and constructing 77 sheltered housing units with shared activity spaces for residents, as well as a dining room and adjacent catering kitchen. In addition to the sheltered housing, 16 rental apartments are being constructed in the same building.

“We are naturally delighted with being entrusted to develop the Jäntan district with social functions that will be a much-needed addition to Landskrona,” says Jonas Håkansson, Business Manager at Serneke.

“Our first sheltered housing in Landskrona was much appreciated and many have asked us when there will be more. We are pleased to say that this will now happen. This is a major project for Landskronahem, and we are proud to contribute to the development of the central area of the city,” says Mikael Forsberg, CEO, Landskronahem.

Serneke will sell the sheltered housing to Landskronahem at an agreed property value of SEK 214 million. Construction is scheduled to commence in the second quarter of 2021 at the earliest, with the homes expected to be completed in 2023.

The sheltered housing is to be constructed in the Jäntan neighborhood. Within the same neighborhood, Serneke is also developing 145 tenant-owned apartments, with the tallest of the buildings being 16 stories high.
