Serneke has been assigned by Strömstad municipality to build a new sewage treatment plant in Strömstad, Sweden.
The municipality of Strömstad currently has capacity problems in terms of wastewater and sludge treatment and also faces a future load increase, both due to extensions and new connections. The municipality will therefore rebuild and to Österöd's sewage treatment plant, a mission that Serneke Plant has been assigned.
-We are pleased to have the confidence to be involved in developing Österöd's sewage treatment plant. It is a project completely in line with our strategy and an important project for Serneke Plant, says Fredrik Jonsson, CEO Serneke Anläggning.
The Österöd sewage treatment plant project covers approximately 11 different processing plants, both re-encompassing, added and new buildings. All facilities are built in the Österöd area of AVV about 1.4 kilometres southeast of Strömstad.

Construction started in spring 2017 and the sewage treatment plant is due to be completed by spring 2019.
