Serneke has sold the award-winning housing project Solkvarteret in Hyllie in Malmö to Lansa Fastigheter. The agreement includes a turnkey contract to build the 106 apartments that will be leased as rental apartments and is expected to be completed by the end of 2022.
"It feels really good that we can now carry out a deal with Lansa Fastigheter and can get started with an urgent project with sustainable housing that creates value for the City of Malmö and its inhabitants," says Jonas Håkansson, Business Manager at Serneke.
The smart energy housing in solkvarteret is created together with the energy company E.ON and their latest research and experience from, among other things, Energihuset in Västra Hamnen.
"Through minimized energy consumption and locally produced energy from solar cells, we will create Malmö's most climate-smart accommodation. We also plan for a number of other exciting energy solutions, such as letting the lifts generate electricity when used, using electric cars to store energy and connecting the entire property to control, measure and optimize electricity and heat. All technical solutions should be based on the needs of the residents and facilitate a sustainable lifestyle, says Peter Jonsson, Head of Sustainable Urban Development at E.ON.
Construction is scheduled to start in spring 2021 and the apartments are expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2022.
