Serneke and Akademiska Hus sign contracting agreements for the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg

Serneke has now signed an agreement with Akademiska Hus to build a new building that will be part of the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg. The order value of the turnkey contract, the first of two parts, amounts to SEK 312 million.

In 2017, Serneke and Akademiska Hus signed a collaboration agreement that included design and budgeting for the School of Business, Economics and Law’s new building in central Gothenburg. Starting as far back as in the spring of 2020, an older part of the existing building was demolished and Akademiska Hus has gradually ordered groundwork measures, which have been performed on an ongoing basis.

The new building for the School of Business, Economics and Law comprises two principal sections. The first section includes the building itself, and the second, the ascent and exit from the Haga station on the Västlänken rail tunnel circumnavigating central Gothenburg. Serneke has now signed a turnkey contract with Akademiska Hus for the construction of the actual building.

The project is expected to be completed during 2025 The is valued at approximately SEK 312 million, which will be included in order bookings for the first quarter of 2021.
