Serneke to construct tenant-owned apartments on Lidingö for Patriam
Serneke has signed a turnkey contract with Patriam to construct 48 tenant-owned apartments on the island of Lidingö, outside Stockholm. The homes are scheduled for completion in the summer of 2023 and the order is valued at approximately SEK 157 million.
At Torsplan, after crossing the bridge that connects Stockholm with Lidingö, Serneke is to construct 48 tenant-owned apartments building on the 1940s architecture of the existing district. A garage and a commercial premises will also be constructed as part of the project. The residential building will be certified in accordance with the requirements of the Nordic Swan ecolabel.
The tenant-owned apartments on Lidingö are Serneke’s second housing construction project for Patriam. In June, Serneke completed a residential building for Patriam in Nacka Strand, with 14 exclusive apartments and views across the water.
“We are very happy to continue our collaboration with Patriam and look forward to constructing more homes on their behalf. We have worked together for almost a year to bring this project about and are now taking the next step in this very nice housing project,” says Erik Carmestedt, Works Manager at Serneke.
“We are now finally under way with the Patriam Torsvik project and look forward to continuing our collaboration with Serneke. Patriam builds unique and sustainable homes that people will enjoy and be touched by for a long time. In Patriam Torsvik, Serneke’s expertise and experience in matters of contracting and sustainability provide an important piece of the puzzle for a successful project,” says Fredrik Andrén, Development Manager at Patriam.
The turnkey contract now signed was preceded by a planning stage at Serneke and the existing building is currently being demolished. Construction may commence pending receipt of the building permit, which is expected in the fourth quarter of 2021. The homes are scheduled for completion in the summer of 2023. The order value of approximately SEK 157 million is expected to be included in order bookings for the fourth quarter of 2021.
