Serneke building homes in Karlstad
Serneke has signed a design-construct contract with Karlstad Bostads AB, KBAB, to build an apartment building with 31 apartments. The order is valued at approximately SEK 47 million.
The contract comprises the demolition of an existing building and new construction of 31 apartments across three floors on Brogatan in central Karlstad. The building being demolished was KBAB’s very first apartment building, which will make space for Serneke’s first project and apartment building in the central region, Värmland.
“We are pleased to be entrusted by Karlstads Bostads AB and feel that we are earnestly under way with our newly established central region,” says Daniel Lindén, Regional Manager at Serneke Construction.
“It’s very engaging to start our first project in Värmland with one of Sweden’s best municipal housing companies as a customer. We are going into this with the hope of being able to carry out several projects together with KBAB in the future,” says Magnus Grude, Construction Manager at Serneke Construction.
The contract will start immediately and the apartments are scheduled to be ready for occupancy in early 2021.
The order value of approximately SEK 47 million is included in order bookings for the second quarter of 2019.
