Serneke to construct train depot in Falköping
Serneke has signed a contracting agreement with Intea Fastigheter AB (publ) to build a new train depot in Falköping. The order is valued at approximately SEK 285 million.
The new train depot will be constructed adjacent to an existing train depot and will cover approximately 4,000 m2, as well as an external warehouse of about 800 m2. The project also includes track and signal contracting.

“We look forward to taking the next step together with Serneke and starting the construction of the new depot with several innovative and sustainable solutions that enable additional service points for Västtrafik’s new trains,” says Kjell-Åke Nilsson, Business Development Manager at Intea.
Construction is scheduled to commence in April this year and the new train depot is scheduled to be brought into use in the spring of 2025. The order value of approximately SEK 285 million is included in order bookings for the first quarter of 2023.
