Ola Serneke is Founder of the Year 2018
The Founder of the Year Sweden 2018 award was presented to Ola Serneke, CEO and founder of the Serneke Group. The prize was awarded at the Entreprenörsgalan event held at Berns in Stockholm. The award is presented by Founders Alliance and its 600 members.
“It was very nice to win, and I was pleasantly surprised! This award means a great deal to me and my colleagues and generates pride in the company,” commented Ola himself on the award.
The jury’s motivation reads:
With commitment, a comprehensive view and innovative thinking, the founder has built a profitable long-term enterprise that helps develop society, both in Sweden and abroad. With clear values, a strong commitment to society and shared objectives, Ola Serneke has laid the foundations for a strong corporate culture that will continue to drive the company towards new successes.
The jury for the Founder of the Year award consisted of: Chairman, David Kristensson – Northern Offshore Services; Anders Wall – Beijer Invest; Shori Zand – Avesina; Niklas Adalberth – Norrsken Foundation and Kristina Lindhe – Lexington.
The Founder of the Year award includes the founders of all companies in Sweden with more than SEK 100 million in net sales, SEK 10 million in annual profit and ten employees. The ranking is based on three indexes:
Historical performance – sales and profitability
Future potential – ownership, for how long and up to what size the founder can and wants to build the company, establishment of operations abroad.
Social benefit – employment, tax and social commitment
