Serneke builds school in Ljungby

On behalf of Ljungby Municipality, Serneke will build a new K-6 school for around 385 children on the existing site where the school is currently located. The two-story school is being built together with a new full-size indoor gymnasium adapted to the needs of the school and the community. The turnkey contract also includes the outdoor environment.

“We are proud to have earned the trust of Ljungby Municipality and look forward to our collaboration with them. “This is a positive development that Serneke will establish itself in the municipality through this procurement. It can also provide opportunities for local subcontractors,” says Karl-Gustav Sundgren, chairman of Ljungby Municipality’s technical committee.

Construction is scheduled to commence in autumn 2018 and the new Hjortsberg school is expected to be ready for operation in time for the spring semester 2020.

The order value of approximately SEK 96 million is included in order bookings for the first quarter of 2018.
