Serneke constructs central kitchen in Trollhättan

The new commercial kitchen that Serneke is to construct for Kraftstaden will be located at Överby in Trollhättan and will comprise about 2,400 m² GFA on two floors. In addition to facilities for producing and packaging food for the Municipality’s educational, health care and residential care operations, the facility will also house offices and other administrative spaces.

“We continue to build on our extended and beneficial collaboration with Kraftstaden and are happy to be able to contribute another important community services building for the people of Trollhättan. We have recently completed a similar facility in Vänersborg, so we have favorable recent experience of construction for such purposes,” says Christopher Hjelm, Construction Manager at Serneke.

“It feels great to get started with the construction of the new commercial kitchen, as a step towards securing future meal solutions for Trollhättan’s residents,” says Andreas Danielsson, Project Manager at Kraftstaden Fastigheter.

Construction of the new commercial kitchen is scheduled to commence in April 2022, and it is scheduled for completion following the summer of 2023. The order value of approximately SEK 80 million is included in order bookings for the first quarter of 2022.
