Serneke continues construction of Selma stad
Serneke has again been entrusted by Framtiden Byggutveckling AB to construct an additional stage of the Selma stad project in Hisings Backa, Gothenburg. The order is valued at approximately SEK 168 million.
Serneke is already constructing 125 apartments and a nursing home for the same client within the Selma stad project. The project involves the regeneration of the area around Selma Lagerlöfs Torg, with a total of about 1,000 homes being planned for, as well as offices, retail and service premises and a new district municipal building with room for cultural activities alongside new pedestrian and park area.
The contractual option now being activated within the framework of the agreement with Framtiden Byggutveckling, signed a little over a year ago, entails a further 101 apartments in two neighborhoods.
“Naturally, we are very pleased to have been further entrusted with construction of new elements within the project. This serves as a testament to the partnership with Framtiden working well and that we are deliver a good product,” says Patrik Hjelte, Business Manager at Serneke.
“We eagerly await completing the last stage of Selma stad with Serneke and to being able to offer the citizens of Gothenburg 226 new rental apartments,” says Marie Dellve Myhlendorph, Project Manager at Framtiden Byggutveckling AB.
Construction of the third stage is scheduled for the spring of 2022, with the homes being scheduled for completion in the spring of 2024. The order value of SEK 168 million is included in order bookings for the second quarter of 2020.
