Serneke signs framework agreement with Specialfastigheter
Serneke has entered into a framework agreement with Specialfastigheter. During the agreement period, the government-owned property company plans to carry out projects with an estimated volume of approximately SEK 4 billion.
Specialfastigheter, which is owned by the Swedish government, owns and manages several of the country’s most secure properties, including prisons, police properties, defense headquarters and courts. Over the seven-year contract period, Specialfastigheter plans to conduct about 300 projects annually at an estimated value of approximately SEK 4 billion. Specialfastigheter is signing agreements with several contractors for four zones in the country and, in the procurement process, Serneke has been selected as a supplier in all zones.
“The agreement with Specialfastigheter is entirely in line with our strategy and customer base – working with public properties for local and national authorities. We look forward to a long partnership in a number of exciting and important projects,” says Marlene Wiberg, Construction Manager at Serneke Construction.
The projects will primarily be carried out in connection with ongoing operations and in properties with strict security and safety requirements, where operations are in progress 24 hours a day, year round.
The projects will involve renovation, remodeling and extension, ranging from installation projects to complete buildings.
The agreement period extends until October 31, 2020 and the agreement also includes an option for an extension of two years, plus a possible additional three years thereafter.
