Serneke to construct additional apartments for HSB in Karlstad
Serneke has signed a turnkey contract with HSB Produktion i Värmland for an additional stage in the new district of Jakobsberg near central Karlstad. On this occasion, the contract is for 48 apartments at a total order value of approximately SEK 100 million.
The contract includes the new construction of 48 tenant-owned apartments in three different buildings: one seven-story apartment block and two four-story lateral low-rise apartment buildings, including a shelter and a parking garage. The apartments will have one to three bedrooms, living room and kitchen, and each will have a balcony, patio or terrace.
The Municipality plans for the new Jakobsberg district (which will include about 4,000 homes, as well as services, retail premises, a school, a preschool, a square and recreational areas) to be a green district for a sustainable future. The three buildings will be constructed in accordance with guidelines from Sweden Green Building Council and in accordance with the Miljöbyggnad Silver environmental standard. Here, this entails the buildings having low energy consumption, limited environmental impact, and being equipped with, for example, solar panels and low energy consumption and environmental impact.
“It is exciting to be involved in developing a new district in Karlstad and, particularly, in another sustainable project alongside HSB with common improvements in focus. We are hoping for a rewarding, sustainable and long-term cooperation with HSB Produktion i Värmland,” says Magnus Grude, Works Manager at Serneke.
“We are very happy to have secured an additional collaboration with Serneke. Sales are progressing at a record pace, with this being the second stage of a total of six stages to be constructed in Jakobsberg. If sales continue at the current pace, we will start work on stage 3 during the spring,” says Mikael Cederborg, Construction Project Manager at HSB.
Construction will commence immediately, with tenants planned to move in during the fourth quarter of 2023. The order value of approximately SEK 100 million is included in order bookings for the second quarter of 2021.
