Serneke to construct housing for seniors in Halmstad
Serneke has signed a turnkey contract with Hemsö for the new production of housing for seniors in Fyllinge, Halmstad. The contract is valued at approximately SEK 76 million.
The contract pertains to the construction of a three-story building divided into six sections, with a total 54 apartments for seniors. The building will have a total gross floor area of approximately 4,200 square meters.
Since August this year, the parties have conducted joint design and planning processes.
“It is very gratifying to have now signed an agreement with Hemsö, Sweden’s leading private owner and developer of public properties. The project has been developed in collaboration, and we have been working together on the first phase during the autumn. Transitioning to a contracting agreement and commencing construction testifies to our breadth and expertise,” says Viktor Nagenius, Construction Manager at Serneke Construction.
“The fact that we signed a contracting agreement with Serneke for the construction of our new senior housing facility in Fyllinge at an early stage in the project is evidence of our successful collaboration. We have had efficient and open dialogue and cooperation, and we look forward to taking the next step in the process, commencing construction and then transferring the premises to our tenant Norlandia Care,” says Robert Cardell, Project Developer at Hemsö.
Construction is planned to commence in February 2019 and the project is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2020. The order value of approximately SEK 76 million is included in order bookings for the fourth quarter of 2018.
