Serneke to construct Porsche Center in Jönköping
The ground was broken yesterday for a new Porsche Center in Jönköping. Serneke will construct the new automobile dealership on behalf of Castellum – an order valued at about SEK 55 million.
In Rosenlund, alongside the E4 motorway in Jönköping, the starting shot has now officially been fired for the construction of the new, approximately 4,500 m2building, which will be Sweden’s tenth Porsche Center. The center will be a full-service facility with both a showroom and workshop facilities.
“It feels great to now be officially in progress with the work. We are extremely pleased and proud that Serneke was entrusted with building this high-end automotive facility for Castellum, whom we view as a very important partner in Jönköping,” says Per Walfridsson, Construction Manager at Serneke Construction.
“We are very happy to finally commence construction of this new Porsche Center together with Serneke and our tenant, Hedin Performance Cars. Castellum has owned the property in question for many years, saving it for a business that can strengthen the entire area. The location of the property is unique, just 20 meters from the E4 motorway, where 60,000 cars pass daily,” says Thomas Bergström, Project Developer at Castellum.
The project is scheduled for completion in the autumn of 2019. The order value of approximately SEK 55 million is included in order bookings for the fourth quarter of 2018.
