Serneke Construction has signed a contract with AB Familjebostäder regarding the construction of housing in the new district Älvsjöstaden in Stockholm. The contract amount for the first phase is approximately 220 million SEK.
Älvsjöstaden is an emerging neighbourhood in Stockholm where it is planned to build nearly 1600 homes in several stages. Serneke Construction has been contracted to build 133 rental apartments for AB Familjebostäder on the property Kabelverket. The project also includes construction of two facilities and a garage under the courtyard.
- This is an important contract for us and yet another step in establishing Serneke in Mälardalen, says Daniel Åstenius, CEO Serneke Construction.
The project also includes an option for construction of 157 apartments and two facilities on the property Sandaletten. That is a joint project together with Familjebostäder parallel with the production of the first stage.

The start of construction is scheduled for spring 2016 and phase one is to be completed by the end of 2017.
